COVID-19

COVID-19 Response

Hello my friends

In these uncertain times we wanted to reach out to each of you with an update of the steps that we have, and are taking, to make The White Pines safe.  Your health is our top priority and we are committed to providing you a safe and comfortable vacation experience.

As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can.  The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus as low, but we will continue to monitor for developments very closely.

The White Pines is unique as our property is isolated and away from populated areas.  We are located in a clean and natural environment. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.  In response to this outbreak, we have implemented additional measures to ensure your safety.

As of today, we are shutting down all operations until May 1st.  This will give the virus time to become controlled.  The cottages will be thoroughly cleaned with minor renovations done.  We are hoping that all future guests will be able to bring their own linens AND comforters or sleeping bags as we do not have the facilities here to wash large comforters daily.  All mattress and pillow protectors will be changed on a per visit basis. We will be hiring extra cleaning staff during this time to thoroughly sanitize each and every cottage. Coronaviruses are easily eliminated by routine surface cleaning with industrial grade cleaning products.

Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly.  A last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of filling the space due to our remote location.  Could we please ask that if you feel you have to cancel, to give us as much notice as you can.

All of us are faced with many challenges in the next little while, but we hope by pulling together we will beat this thing!

Please stay safe and healthy

Shawn and Valerie
